FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH In Iraq: More Video Footage Released

March 25, 2010

Santa Rosa, California's 101.7 The Fox radio station has posted a three-minute video clip (see below) featuring footage from FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH's recent trip to Iraq to perform a handful of shows for U.S. troops. This tour was the band's first visit to Iraq.

"There's not enough people in America that are exposed to what really goes on over here, how hard the troops are working for us and our side," FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH singer Ivan Moody said during an interview that was conducted while the band was in Iraq. "We just wanted to come over here and give them a piece of life.

"We know that it becomes monotonous out here — it's a seven-day-a-week job — and we really wanted to break it up and make them feel human, and I hope that we gave them that.

"We've spent a lot of hard time on the road, as well as you guys have earning the freedom that we have. It's the least we can do."

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH released a new single, "No One Gets Left Behind", in the U.K. on March 8 via Spinefarm Records.

Taken from the band's latest/second album, "War Is The Answer", and with studio track "Undone" included as a bonus, the single is available on seven-inch colored vinyl (a limited, hand-numbered pressing) and as a download with a digital booklet.

The artwork for both formats features photos sent to the group by fans currently serving in the U.S. military — specifically from Heavy Marine Helicopter Squadron 462.

Since the release of the debut FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH album, "The Way Of The Fist", back in 2007, the band has gained increasing support from U.S. troops on active service, as a result of which their "Death Squad" motif now regularly features on combat vehicles and choppers along with the "No One Gets Left Behind" call to arms.
